TUTORIAL: EMBOSSED METAL BOX (ATOMIC SHRIMP; MIKE GURMAN)

The metal in this case is a soft drink can, and you can use either an embossing folder or texture sheet, rather than free-hand embossing, if you prefer. Might be a little easier if you first make the box from card stock, then cover it with the embossed metal...give that a try if the metal alone seems too 'bendy,'

If you decide to go this route, cut the box shape from the metal, apply either double-sided tape along the edges or an adhesive sheet (Xyron, etc.) to the back of the metal and emboss. Remove the liner from the adhesive after all embossing is complete; apply the embossed metal to the card stock box; finger press the metal to secure the adhesive to the card stock.

Click TUTORIAL (above) to see how. Remember...keep your pinkies away from those sharp edges!
