RECYCLE: T-SHIRT YARN (POLKA DOT PINEAPPLE; ARLETTE)

This 'yarn' gives you a reason to clean out that packed drawer of T-shirts you haven't worn in ages and ages.  The yarn is great for crocheting, knitting and those wonderful 'twisted' flowers.  If none of that appeals to you, use the yarn to tie up your plants next spring...

RECYCLE: PATTERN TISSUE WREATH (ANNE KATA)

IF you happen to have an old 45 vinyl record stuck in a box, you're set to go.  If saving old records isn't your thing, go to a crafts store that sells cake decorating stuff (Michaels is one such store) and get a cake round (a round, cardboard thingy cake decorators put under cake layers).  Cut out a center hole, and you're set to go.  IF you're fresh out of old dress patterns, colored (or white) wrapping tissue works...probably best to get the type that the color is permanent so it won't be affected by moisture.  This is really a neat wreath...especially the cost (pennies, pennies, pennies!)

You know those hang tags that you have to cut off from just about everything you buy at a store (with the exception of food)?  Here's what to do with them.  I'm not suggesting you make your purchase for the cute or fancy tag dangling from a thread on an item...but if it's a choice between two items, go for the cute tag!

If your grandma (mother, aunt, sister...) doesn't have a slightly discolored lace jacket hanging in her closet, head to the closest thrift store for the major supply in this wreath.  Easy, quick, inexpensive, and so very good looking...the perfect creation.

I wonder if there's anyone who does NOT have a slug of fabric bags stuck in a closet or drawer.  What once was an appealing screenprint on the bag is now a sad reminder of better days.  Then there's the ones with advertising stuff...even worse.  Recycle to the rescue!  Jess has several ideas for you to bring those bags into the present...in very appealing ways.
