You've got options here:  Each pattern can be printed on either paper or fabric, colored, cut out and used as an embellishment, ornament or jewelry; each pattern can be used as an embroidered creation on either paper or fabric.  If you plan to stitch on paper, I recommend your using an adhesive-backed stabilizer from Sulky on the back of the paper you have selected.  BTW: if hand embroidery is new to you, please take advantage of the links Wendi has provided.
