If you're looking for a substitute for those crocheted flowers everyone is sticking hither and yon, consider always-in-style Dorset Buttons.
Easy enough to make when you're sitting in the car, a waiting room, the Principal's office, or where ever you get stuck waiting and waiting for someone to finish whatever. Those little plastic rings are found in the curtain section of a fabric store and are available in different sizes (if you're lucky you'll even find them in colors). Want something bigger than the plastic curtain rings...go for it! Nothing says you can't make them as large as you want. Don't overlook bling, glitter and/or glitz either.
Click TUTORIAL (above) to become a button maker. And for those of you with a good (excellent) memory...Diane's tut, Singleton Buttons, was featured here in May.
