HOPE YOU GET A TON OF CHOCOLATE...

HALLOWEEN EYE CANDY (NORTHRIDGE MEDIA)

Good stuff to the hilt here...click HALLOWEEN CANDY (above) to get your fill of fantastic yummies (and ideas for next year).

FYI: CAT LOVERS HEAVEN (MAGENTA'S CAT CLUB)

Click FYI (above) to see and purr with enjoyment.

RECYCLE: SEWING PATTERN PAPER FLOWER (INSPIRED BRIDE; MADDY HAGUE)

Don't fret if you're fresh out of old sewing patterns...wrapping tissue (plain or patterned) works just fine for these floral beauties.  This is a slightly different technique...try it, you might find it faster than the tried and true 'cut a circle' one.  Bet these would add a bit of bling to THE tree...

Click RECYCLE (above) dig out those old patterns and start your garden.

VIDEO: FIVE POINTED STAR (FOLD SOMETHING)

Option time!  The five pointed star made with paper money is either a stocking stuffer or card insert; the smaller stars made with paper are perfect for embellishments, garlands, banners and tree decorations.  Fun all the way around...

Click VIDEO (above) and start folding.

RECYCLE: HANG TAGS (SPOTTED CANARY; KARA WARD)

You know those hang tags that you have to cut off from just about everything you buy at a store (with the exception of food)?  Here's what to do with them.  I'm not suggesting you make your purchase for the cute or fancy tag dangling from a thread on an item...but if it's a choice between two items, go for the cute tag!

Click RECYCLE (above) and enjoy those tags.  BTW:  Nope, we're not related, just happen to have the same last name.

TUTORIAL: SHRINK PLASTIC DOLL AND CLOTHES (CRAFTY BUG; DIANA TRUPIANO)

How about this little gal and her wardrobe as a stocking stuffer?  Kind of neat, if you ask me.  And, if there's no little girl on your list, how about creating a pin?  Use a permanent glue to 'attach' her clothes.

Click TUTORIAL (above) to see what you think.

GO GIANTS!!!

Hey...it's my blog, and I can be as obnoxious as I want.

VIDEO/TUTORIAL: INKING RIBBON (HERO ART BLOG; JENNIFER MCGUIRE)

One huge advantage of inking ribbon...you only need white ribbon in your stash.  No need to have every color of ribbon anymore.  If that's not terrific, I don't know what is.  There's more in this video than the inking part,  As always, Jennifer has one excellent tip after another.

Click VIDEO/TUTORIAL (above) and become a ribbon-inker.

I do have one suggestion: if you use leaves as a temporary embellishment (snowflakes in the winter, tree buds in the spring, butterflies in the summer?), attach the embellishments to the wall with Scotch Poster Tape.  This tape is repositionable and intended for items that will be removed from a surface.

TUTORIAL: FLOWER CARD (TAYLORD CONCEPTS; MRS. TAYLORD)

You're in for a big surprise when you see how this flower was created...and you'll love it!

TUTORIAL: PAPER MACHE' PUMPKINS (MARTHA STEWART)

Create your own pumpkins...why not?  Big, little, round, oblong, tall, short or medium...do your own thing.  It looks as though there's a typo in the supplies...a 1/4" strip of paper is really, really small for paper mache...you can use a strip up to 2" provided your creation isn't itty bitty.

A couple of tips found in the Comments: crepe paper strips rather than torn paper strips (now that's thinking!); wall paper paste as the adhesive for the strips.  If you plan to paint the pumpkins (most likely), acrylic paint will act as a sealer.  Watered-down white glue (Elmers, Ross, etc.) also is a sealer; the glue can be tinted with paint, liquid water colors or reinkers.

Click TUTORIAL/TEMPLATES (above) and start your very own pumpkin patch.

FREE DOWNLOADS/TUTORIAL: HALLOWEEN FABRIC ART (GRAPHIC FAIRY; KAREN)

Don't you love creations that are super easy, look like a million bucks, and are created in a flash?  Karen also includes a link to another detailed tut detailing how to prepare the fabric for printing in your printer.

If you don't have the label paper mentioned in that tut, freezer paper (found in the wax paper section of the grocery store) is an excellent substitute.  Place the fabric, wrong side up, on the ironing board; cover with a larger piece of freezer paper (shiny side down on the fabric).  Using a med-hot iron, press the paper to the fabric and allow to cool.  Remove the fabric/paper from the board and cut the fabric to the needed size; it's very important that no strings or ravels extend beyond the edges of the fabric. After printing, remove the freezer paper from the fabric.

Click FREE DOWNLOADS/TUTORIAL (above) and start your handiwork.

TUTORIAL: THE PERFECT 1/4" SEAM (ERICAS; ERICA)

I'm firmly convinced that patchworkand quilting are the absolute best basis for all crafting activities.  One reason is the precsion that is required; another is the organization (beginning, middle, end) followed for construction.  Most times a seam allownace that is a shade off 1/4" won't produce a gollywonk block, but there are times it will.  This tut handles those times.
